Attention Costco Shoppers: Grab this one fast if your Costco is lucky enough to stock it! At only $7.99, this will be our second Bulk Buy here at The Reverse Wine Snob.
I went into my Costco last Thursday and this wine had just arrived. My wife and I gave it a try over the weekend and liked it a lot (much, much better than the Alamos Malbec at the same price). I went back in today and already their supply was dwindling and they had no idea if they would get more so I bought a case.
According to this Costco info sheet only 24,000 cases were produced. Divide that among approximately 580 stores and you’re looking at only 40 cases per store. Of course some of those stores don’t sell wine and others will probably never see this one, but if your store is lucky enough to have it I would still expect it to go fast. The first tasting notes on CellarTracker are from January 23rd so this wine has already been in some stores for at least a month.
The full review on this one will be forthcoming, but as always initial ratings have been entered into theInteractive Wine Rating Chart after first consumption.
Check out the Interactive Wine Rating Chart to find all my reviews! You can sort by type of wine, cost, rating, etc. in the interactive spreadsheet.
