A nice rosé find for just $7.99 at Trader Joe's, we review the Blue Shell Rosé from Southern France.
Like a lot of Trader Joe's private labels, there's not much info available on this wine except that it comes from the Pays d'Oc wine region in Southern France.
The label further clarifies by calling it a "French Coastal Wine". Based on the typical rosé blend of this region, it is most likely a combination of Cinsaut and Grenache with perhaps some Syrah added in.
This wine is available exclusively at Trader Joe's and sells for $7.99. It is imported by Latitude Wines.
From the bottle:

Serve at 46F with grilled vegetables, meat, pizzas or just as an aperitif.
12% Alcohol
The 2021 Blue Shell Rosé is a bit shy on the nose but a little swirling reveals pleasing aromas of pear, lemon and touches of strawberry and other red fruits.
The wine tastes simple but satisfying with good acidity and nicely tangy fruit similar to the nose plus some varied citrus notes. Quite fresh, this is very easy to drink and is quite good on a hot day.
It ends dry with a long enough, mouth watering finish. For the price, this works just fine.
