The Best French Wines
If you asked people to list what comes to mind when they think of the country of France, French wine would, without a doubt, be near the top of the list. But there is so much wine that comes from this place (and some of it is so incredibly expensive) that it can be dizzyingly complex to navigate your way around vino from this country.
With 15+ major wine regions in France (like the Rhone Valley and Languedoc), each with their own unique set of rules, it’s no wonder consumers find French wine so confusing. It also doesn't help that most French wines begin with the word "Château" or "Domaine" and have rather similar, old-fashioned looking labels!
In this section, I offer a number of recommendations of my favorite, inexpensive wines from France, all offering tremendous quality. Let's get started on a lifelong journey of exploring the wines of France!
