The 2015 Vina Cobos Felino Chardonnay begins with a multi-faceted aroma of green apple, tropical fruit, floral notes, lemon cream and even a bit of banana. When tasting the wine plenty of toasty oak, vanilla cream, apple, pear, citrus and a bit of pineapple lead the way but other flavors also emerge mid-palate. It also features a smooth, filling mouthfeel and good acidity. Lemon peel, more tropical fruits and baking spice lead into the dry, toasty finish that lingers for quite a while with hints of butter. A great example of this variety for the Chardonnay fans out there.
