The 2011 Domaine du Tariquet Classic Cotes de Gascogne begins with aromas of light tropical fruit, tangerine and other citrus, some floral notes and a touch of grass. The wine tastes refreshing and crisp and features lots of rich and tart citrus and tropical fruit. It also has a very nice almost oily yet still lively mouthfeel. At the end mineral notes underneath the tart fruit bleed into the medium-long finish. A really great wine for only $8, a Reverse Wine Snob Certified Summertime Sipper™* and a Bulk Buy!
