    Domaine du Tariquet Classic Cotes de Gascogne - A Classic Summertime Sipper

    By: Jon Thorsen Published: June 14, 2013 Last Updated: June 20, 2019

    2011-Domaine-du-Tariquet-Classic-Cotes-de-Gascogne
    You're only $8 away from refreshment.

    45% Ugni Blanc, 35% Colombard, 10% Sauvignon and 10% Gros Manseng from Gascony, France.

    SRP of $11 and available widely for $8. Imported by Robert Kacher Selections. Sample submitted for review.

    From the bottle:

    "Serve chilled. A very refreshing wine to be enjoyed at any time as an aperitif, with charcuterie, fish and shellfish...Magnificent intensity for a dry fruity wine with floral and citrus aromas and a lovely touch of exotic fruit.

    11.5% Alcohol"

    Today we have another Reverse Wine Snob Certified Summertime Sipper™*. Summertime sippers come in many different shapes and sizes, but they hold one thing in common - they are perfect for relaxing on the patio at the end of hot and sunny day. Some of the others we've highlighted recently include:

    • Crios Torrontes and Rose of Malbec - More Scrumptious Summertime Sippers
    • Albarino - Made For Summertime Sipping on the Patio
    • Top 10 White Wines Under $20 - Summer 2013 Edition
    • Jean-Luc Colombo Cape Bleue Rosé 2012 - A Heck Of A Nice Rosé

    The 2011 Domaine du Tariquet Classic Cotes de Gascogne begins with aromas of light tropical fruit, tangerine and other citrus, some floral notes and a touch of grass. The wine tastes refreshing and crisp and features lots of rich and tart citrus and tropical fruit. It also has a very nice almost oily yet still lively mouthfeel. At the end mineral notes underneath the tart fruit bleed into the medium-long finish. A really great wine for only $8, a Reverse Wine Snob Certified Summertime Sipper™* and a Bulk Buy!
    * Trade Mark pending 😉
