Bear Bros Rosé from Aldi – Good Enough

A light and refreshing wine from Aldi, we review the Bear Bros Rosé.

Bear Bros Rosé from Aldi - Good Enough

A rosé made from undisclosed grapes from California.

There’s no info available on the production but there’s obviously no oak involved.

The Bear Bros Rosé is available exclusively at Aldi and sells for just $7.99.

Well, here’s the downside of private label brands from retailers like Aldi and Trader Joe’s – sometimes you just have no idea what you’re getting! Of course, our main concern is how the wine tastes so let’s check it out.

From the bottle:

This inviting Rosé boasts raspberry and strawberry aromas. The luscious fruit flavors lead into a crisp finish with refreshing acidity. Enjoy with roasted chicken, vegetable frittatas, and Thai curries. Best serve chilled.

The 2021 Bear Bros. Rosé opens with a bit light, but inviting, aroma of red berries with a little tropical fruit.

The wine tastes dry and refreshing. It could use a little more depth but offers some richness on the fruit and good acidity. On the plus side, it should definitely be quaffable in hot weather.

It ends dry, crisp and a bit tart with decent length. Good enough for the price!
