It’s been too long since we offered a Brutocao (pronounced brew’ tuh coe) deal and we’ve heard your pleas. So today we are bringing back two of our favorite blends from the winery’s offerings of Italian varietals.
These are truly unique, very small production, estate bottled wines that won rave reviews from previous purchasers.
The first wine in today’s 4-pack is the 2017 Brutocao Uber Tuscan, a true to its name blend of 66% Sangiovese and 34% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very smooth and harmonious, it’s an absolute pleasure to drink. It was aged 18 months in barrel with 35% new oak. You will receive 2 bottles.
The second wine is the 2020 Brutocao Quadriga, a blend of 40% Primitivo, 25% Sangiovese, 24% Barbera, 8% Dolcetto and 3% Syrah. Rich, juicy and delicious, it spent 18 months in French oak, 30% of which was new. You will receive 2 bottles.
We rank both these wines at the high end of our 9 Taste Rating, so closer to 92-93 points. Wine Enthusiast also gave the 2020 Quadriga 92 points and an Editor’s Choice designation. Both are very small production – just 850 cases were produced of the Quadriga and only 300 of the Uber Tuscan.
Both wines also normally retail for $32 a bottle but for the next day we’ve slashed over $XX off that price…

Our Twelfth release of this “Uber-licous” wine is 66% Sangiovese and 34% Cabernet Sauvignon. Wonderful aromas of cinnamon graham cracker greet your palate. This wine has dark fruit with strawberries, a nice mouth feel and that lovely Sangiovese red fruit comes out in the finish. This classic combination will bring out the Italian in any dish.

The 2017 Brutocao Uber Tuscan begins with a very pleasing aroma of black cherry, strawberry and other berry fruit along with vanilla and very nicely integrated assorted spice notes.
Taking a sip reveals a super smooth and harmonious wine that is absolutely delicious. It features black cherry fruit with fantastic touches of spice throughout and great structure. Quite easy to drink right out of the bottle, it keeps improving the more air it has so give it plenty of time to breathe.
A wonderful burst of spice on the mid-palate leads into the dry, long, slightly chewy and delicious finish. I love this blend. It was just as good on day 2.

Quadriga, a “chariot carried by four horses”, is an ancient Italian symbol of triumph. Celebrating our Italian heritage, we created a proprietary blend of Sangiovese, Primitivo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. Reminiscent of traditional Italian field blends, but with richer, brighter, and more fruit-forward flavors, the velvety smooth texture of delicious wine pairs well with everything from casual dining to your fanciest meals.
Winemaker Notes: With aromas of lavender and plums, our unique combination opens with red delicious apple, followed with blueberries and floral notes.

The 2020 Brutocao Quadriga opens with a very harmonious aroma featuring lots of sweet tart like berry fruit aromas, bay leaf, loads of varied baking spice notes, licorice, cedar and lots of other touches to discover as you sniff and swirl it.
It gets even better when tasting this really delightful blend of Italian varietals. With wonderful rich and juicy fruit, lovely and well-integrated oaky spice notes and a smooth mouthfeel, this is a delicious, full-bodied and slightly tannic beauty. I love that this can be found in Mendocino!
It ends with a dry, very long, slightly grippy, very savory, lovely finish. It’s wonderful and the whole thing gets even better the more time it has to breathe, and especially on day 2.
