The 2019 Caves du Fournalet CdR red opens with pleasing blackberry and other berry aromas on the nose plus just a bit of spicy, herbal note.

Taking a sip of the medium bodied wine reveals a simple CdR but that’s not a bad thing. Soft, smooth and easy to drink, a nice bit of spice develops on the mid-palate and leads into the dry, decent length and a bit grippy finish. For just $7 this is a worthy buy.
