100% Tempranillo from Rioja, Spain. The wine is aged for at least 12 months in American oak barrels and at least 6 months in bottle before its release.
Sample submitted for review. The El Coto Crianza has an SRP of $16.99 and is available for as low as $9. It is imported by Opici Wines and Spirits and 4.6 million bottles were produced.

Artisans of wine. El Coto is dedicated to crafting the highest quality wines that reflect the rich winemaking traditions of Rioja. Produced from Tempranillo grapes, this native varietal is fermented and aged in oak for at least 12 months with an additional six months resting in bottle, prior to release. El Coto Crianza is exceptionally balanced with layers of fresh raspberry, cherry, spice and toasted oak, building to a silky finish.
13.5% Alcohol
The 2019 El Coto Rioja Crianza opens with pleasing aromas of black cherry and other dark fruit plus touches of spice and oregano.
Taking a sip reveals a tasty, nicely balanced wine with light touches of spice. It features similar flavors to the nose with a smooth mouthfeel and good enough depth. It’s a bit on the simple side but there’s nothing not to like here and it works great for the price.
It ends dry with decent length and was similar on day 2.
