Our 2018 Viognier was sourced from the Nelson Vineyard in Mendocino County. The Nelson family has been farming their ranch for over 65 years using sustainable practices. The ranch sits along the Russian River and benefits from warm days and cool, foggy nights to produce ripened fruit with balanced acidity.
A bouquet of clean citrus and honeysuckle greet you in the glass. A smooth and supple mouthfeel with flavors of juicy mandarin orange, stone fruit and pineapple lead to a finish that boasts a bright acidity. This is a Hawley flagship varietal and a perfectly enjoyable glass of wine!

The 2018 Hawley Winery Viognier begins with a very aromatic nose just as you would expect with Viognier. Floral notes (lemongrass and a little honeysuckle) as well as citrus and tropical fruit notes all combine to make a wonderful bouquet.
Tasting the wine reveals a wonderful smooth, round mouthfeel. This is a really delicious dry wine but full of fruit flavors similar to the nose with tangy, tropical fruit predominating in the mouth.
It ends with a dry, tart, quite long and lip-smacking finish. This is a serious white and absolutely lovely stuff!
