These are some of the best wines we’ve tasted all year from all different wineries, all in one 4-pack with as many ship states as possible.

Our three previous “Perfect 10” packs were a smashing success, so today we are delighted to roll out our fourth, the 2025 edition, with four more amazing wines.

As a reminder these collections consist of multiple wines from different wineries, all in one deal. It is not a flash deal, like most of what we offer, but instead is available for you to take advantage of as long as our inventory of these small production wines lasts.

We like to consider these All-Star packs as our “Reverse Wine Club” as you are welcome to order as often as you like without any commitment at all.

Here’s what the 2025 Edition of the All-Stars “Perfect 10” Reds 4-Pack includes:

• The first wine is the 2018 Desert Wind Sandstorm Series Cabernet Sauvignon which is 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 6% Merlot and 3% Syrah all from the Desert Wind Vineyard. This is a special, reserve series wine using the absolute best fruit from the vineyard and as such it normally retails for $80 a bottle! It spends 18 months in French oak and only 120 cases were produced. You will receive 1 bottle.
• The second wine comes from one of our favorite wineries, Handley Cellars. You will receive either the 2021 or 2022 Handley Kazmet Vineyard Syrah. (They make so little we have to use two different vintages.) The wine is exceptional, with the 2021 getting a 94-point rating from Wine Enthusiast. (The 2022 hasn’t been rated by them yet but it is at least as good.) The wine is co-fermented with a small amount of Viognier and also has 10% Zinfandel. It is aged 18 months in French oak and normally retails for $32 a bottle. You will receive 1 bottle.
• The third wine comes from one of our most requested wineries – Trinitas Cellars. They’ve brought with them a big, deep, beautiful 2022 Trinitas Petite Sirah. One of our favorite varieties, this is an excellent example that also spends time in oak. Wine Enthusiast rates it at 93 points, which we think is a bit low, giving it a Perfect 10 94+ point rating ourselves. It has an SRP of $40 a bottle. You will receive 1 bottle in today’s 4-pack.
• And the final wine in the 2025 “Perfect 10” All-Stars 4-Pack is the fantastic 2022 Starfield Grenache from grapes planted at 2,300-2,400 feet of elevation at the Starfield Estate vineyard in El Dorado. The wine was aged 18 months in French oak and just 326 cases were produced. 100% Grenache, it normally retails for $42. In addition to 93-points from Wine Enthusiast, the wine received a Triple Gold rating and Best of Class designation at Dan Berger’s International Wine Competition as well as 94 Points and a Best Grenache designation at the Foothill Wine Fest. We also rate it at 94+ points. You will receive 1 bottle.

Up first we have the 2018 Desert Wind Sandstorm Series Cabernet Sauvignon. You will receive one bottle.

WINEMAKING NOTES: The Desert Wind ‘Sandstorm Series’ is thoughtfully crafted from the best lots of wine of each vintage from our favorite blocks of our Desert Wind Estate Vineyard. We choose the lots that show the most concentration, texture, and length, with the promise of great ageability. The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon was blended with small amounts of Malbec, Merlot, and Syrah to provide extra depth of character and complexity. Each variety was fermented separately in open top bins, then carefully blended and aged for 18 months in new and neutral French oak barrels.

VINEYARD NOTES: The Wahluke Slope AVA is located in south-central Washington and is considered one of the warmer regions in the state. Our 480 acre Desert Wind Estate Vineyard is south-facing, with a gradual two percent slope ranging from 800 to 1,000 feet in elevation. The deep, rocky soil allows for excellent drainage, stressing the vines and allowing focused energy on fruit production. The resulting wines are highly pigmented and have excellent tannin structure.

TASTING NOTES: The deep-ruby 2018 Sandstorm Cabernet Sauvignon begins deep, with precise notes of black raspberry, crème de cassis, mocha, wild herbs, blood orange skin, and floral potpourri. The wine opens rich and dark, with lots of sweet spices, herbs, and mature dark and red fruit. Highly concentrated, energetic, deep, and very long, this Cabernet has firm tannins that are perfectly buffered by the wine’s intensity of fruit. An end-to-end Cabernet that you can enjoy now or in the next 8-10 years.

And now on to our review:

The 2018 Desert Wind Sandstorm Series Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a very pleasing and harmonious aroma of ripe red and dark berry fruit, lovely vanilla and sweet spice, and touches of tobacco, graphite, wintergreen/mint and forest floor. It’s a wonderful start.

The wine tastes absolutely lovely, offering great structure, excellent balance and lots of very well integrated spice throughout. With a smooth, silky mouthfeel and similar flavors to the nose, this is super delicious. This newly released wine does benefit from a little time to breathe – it opens up magnificently after a couple hours – so plan appropriately if you are drinking it soon.

It ends dry, extremely long, and juicy with lingering touches of spice, vanilla, tobacco and more on the lively finish. It was just as good on day two.

The next wine is the 2021 or 2022 Handley Kazmet Vineyard Syrah. You will receive one bottle of either the 2021 or 2022 vintage (not both) based on available inventory at the time of your order. (Sorry, we can’t accommodate requests for a specific vintage.)

Kazmet Vineyard, Redwood Valley

The grapes for this wine originate from Kazmet Ranch in Redwood Valley located in the warmer inland area of Mendocino County. This vineyard has been CCOF organically certified since 2017. This head-pruned, dry farmed vineyard reliably provides ripe fruit character while maintaining its natural acidity. A warm summer and light yields resulted in our earliest harvest ever of this vineyard.

In the glass, this wine has aromas of briary fruit, dusty sage, wet asphalt, cream and sandalwood notes. Fleshy and full on the palate with concentrated flavors of candied black cherries, boysenberries, cracked white pepper, pine tar, and dark chocolate. Soft to medium tannins on the finish with spritely acidity focusing the lingering fruitiness.

A small amount of Viognier (5%) was co-fermented on the skins adding floral notes, and a small amount of Zinfandel (10%) was added to soften the tannins and add to its complex fruity profile. Like Pinot Noir, this wine was fermented in open top tanks minimizing the extraction of any bitter tannins. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (20% new).

And now on to our review:

The 2021 Handley Kazmet Vineyard Syrah opens with a wonderful, very aromatic nose of dark berry fruit, a bit of a meaty note, mint and eucalyptus. A little swirling also reveals spice, floral notes, black pepper and dried herbs. There is lots to discover here and it’s all very good so take your time! It’s a great start.

Now that’s what I’m talking about! This is some fabulous Syrah. In the mouth it’s smooth, full and lush with huge depth on the dark berry fruit, very well-integrated spice and great complexity. The flavors are all similar to the nose and very harmonious when tasting.

It ends dry, very long, a bit chewy and dusty with very long lasting rich fruit and spice. It was just as good on day 2. I LOVE IT!

The 2022 vintage is just as good but offers a bit more oak influence and tannins in its youth, although it also has a bit more bright fruit as well. It’s extremely delicious even at this young age. Whichever vintage you get it just keeps getting better and better the longer it is open so don’t be shy about giving it time to breathe.

Third, we’ve got the 2022 Trinitas Petite Sirah. You will receive one bottle.

TASTING NOTES: The 2022 Lodi Petite Sirah is a captivating expression of the varietal, showcasing the distinctive characteristics of the Lodi region. Pouring into the glass with an intense, dark purple hue, this wine immediately hints at its bold nature. On the nose, an enticing bouquet unfolds with an abundance of blackberry and blueberry, complemented by subtle undertones of plum and a touch of vanilla. The palate delivers a rich and full-bodied experience, featuring ripe dark fruit flavors that intertwine seamlessly with notes of mocha and a gentle hint of spice. The tannins are firm yet velvety, providing a solid structure and promising age-worthy potential. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering impression of dark fruits and a touch of well-integrated oak. This 2022 Lodi Petite Sirah is not only approachable now but also suggests a promising evolution with time, making it a delightful choice for both immediate enjoyment and cellar aging.

VINTAGE NOTES: The 2022 vintage in Lodi stands out as a remarkable testament to the region’s winemaking prowess. Characterized by optimal weather conditions, this vintage yielded wines of exceptional quality and depth. The growing season was marked by moderate temperatures, allowing for even ripening of the grapes and the development of intense flavors. The resulting wines showcase the quintessential Lodi traits of bold fruit expression, particularly in red varieties like Petite Sirah. Winemakers in Lodi have crafted wines that strike a harmonious balance between ripe fruit profiles and well-integrated tannins, promising both immediate enjoyment and the potential for cellar aging. Overall, the 2022 vintage in Lodi is celebrated for producing wines that capture the essence of the region’s terroir, making it a standout year for wine enthusiasts and collectors alike.

And now on to our review:

The 2022 Trinitas Petite Sirah begins with an attractive, harmonious aroma of dark fruit, well integrated baking spice, floral notes, a little leather, black pepper and more. It’s a great start and it gets even better from there.

Tasting the full bodied wine shows it to be smooth with great depth and harmony. It’s beautifully balanced with excellent structure and acidity. It features juicy fruit and all the same touches as the nose. What a pleasure!

It ends dry, long and juicy with touches of dark chocolate, coffee and more lingering under the lasting fruit.

And somehow the whole thing was even more harmonious and savory on day 2. This is a great example of one of our favorite varieties.

And finally we have 2022 Starfield Vineyards Grenache. You will receive one bottle.

Tasting Notes: The 2022 vintage of Grenache is fresh, floral, & contains a surprising depth of red and black fruits. It opens with a powerful bouquet, rich with rose petal, mountain lilac, & fresh tobacco leaf, accented by spicy notes of nutmeg & white pepper. The palate is just as lush as the nose, but with moderate weight and great energy. A broad entry of classic notes of dried strawberry, freshly picked blueberry, & ripe mulberry, underscored by earthy notes of ground clove, tarragon, & toasted oak. Taut, dusty tannins weave in and out of the concentrated fruit flavors, leading to a long, lingering finish. This is a perfect dinner wine & is drinking quite well now but will continue to age & evolve until 2030.

And now on to our review:

The 2022 Starfield Vineyards Grenache opens with aromas of strawberry and raspberry plus some beautiful spice and white pepper notes. It’s a fantastic start!

Taking a sip reveals the wine to be balanced and smooth with a nice streak of spice and similar flavors to the nose. Savory too, it is especially good after some time in the glass. This is a great example of Grenache and excellent with food.

It ends dry, very long, juicy and savory on the finish was maybe even a bit better on day 2 and even day 3.
