2021 Damien Rēśama Proprietary Red Wine
Notes of fresh cigar tobacco add a rich, smoky nuance that balances the opulent fruit profile. Inky mulberries and stewed blackberries bring a bold, dark fruit character, while delicate violets lend a floral lift. Ripe purple fruit aromas signaling the wine’s bold intensity and expressive nature. Selected specifically for its remarkable concentration and weight, this barrel showcases a vibrant, fresh acidity that enlivens the palate and balances the wine’s depth.
Decanter 91 Points: A richly attractive nose of forest berry, dried strawberry, tobacco, and toasty cedar wood with a hint of graphite. This full-bodied wine features decadent vanilla-laced blueberry, silky, polished tannins, and a lingering thread of chocolate and cinnamon dusting the mineral backbone. Juicy and easy-drinking, this field blend is crafted for near-term enjoyment.

The 2021 Damien Resama Proprietary Red Wine opens with an enticing aroma of black cherry, bramble, lots of cedar and a little vanilla, tobacco, cigar box and more. It’s a great start.
The wine tastes juicy and delicious with similar flavors to the nose and is balanced wonderfully. It also features a smooth and silky mouthfeel plus good depth and acidity. I could drink this every day.
It ends dry, very long and juicy with a touch of dustiness and grippiness. It was even slightly better on day 2 after just being corked and left on the counter. (No special steps needed to preserve this one.)
