Summer 2025 Shipping Options – We have both a Summer Shipping option (with heat protection) and a Summer Hold option. Our priority over the summer is to get your wine to you safely should you choose to have it shipped! Here are the details on both options:

Summer Ship (+$8) – Includes heat protection (styrofoam), freeze packs (when necessary), an upgrade to UPS 2-day shipping to minimize transit time when your order ships, and packages will only ship Monday through Wednesday to avoid them sitting somewhere hot over a weekend. Because we’re only shipping at the beginning of the week, these orders may take a bit more time to ship after the conclusion of the offer (likely 5-12 days rather than our normal 5-10). The 4th of July holiday may also add an extra day.

These orders have an additional cost of $8 built into the product price for this Heat Protection Package. It is NOT possible (nor would it be advisable!) to purchase a deal with summer shipping without also including the Heat Protection Package.

Summer Hold (No Extra Charge) – Buy your wine now and have your shipment held (at no extra charge) for delivery in October! While we take every precaution we can with our Summer Shipping protocol, we also know that many of you travel or live in very hot areas where you don’t want to risk it (or you simply detest styrofoam).

Please note this is not a “ship-at-will” program, all your summer hold orders will ship (in cardboard/no styrofoam) at a date of our choosing in mid-October once temperatures have cooled down. Please read this post for important info to determine if the Summer Hold program is right for you. Whatever shipping location option you choose at checkout (ship to home or ship to UPS Store) will apply in October.

The art of glass blowing is the culmination of both a steady hand and a vision. It blends contemporary style with age-old tradition, the result of which captures the gradation of color, structure and body with elegance. Each piece is its own, much like wine, which changes from vintage to vintage. Glassblower wines are handcrafted to embrace their sourcing, are varietally expressive and unique works of art, in their own right.

WINEMAKING: The heart of Napa Valley is best known for its prominent Cabernet Sauvignon. The majority of this wine is sourced from Calistoga, where temperatures are quite warmer than the rest of the Valley. Cabernet Sauvignon loves the warmth of the late afternoon and the grapes from the Glass Blower’s vineyard benefit from long days and cool nights, resulting in an elegant, lush wine with complex layers of flavors.

TASTING NOTE: This classic Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and structured. Aromas of deep black fruit lead to flavors of juicy plum, blackberry and baking spice. This wine is full-bodied and excellently balanced, it’s finish persistent and elegant.

The 2023 Glassblower Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a strong and enticing aroma full of succulent dark fruit, cedar, baking spice, chocolate and more. It smells a bit young but it’s a great start.

Taking a sip reveals a smooth, dense, and rather chewy Cab with lots of fine tannins. It features rich, juicy fruit along with all the other notes from the nose. It shows a lot of oak influence right now but it also has great structure for aging. This is a really delicious one for the Cab lover.

It ends dry, quite long and grippy and was just as good on day 2.
