It’s been awhile since we’ve offered a splurge deal so today we’re delighted to offer an iconic wine from Miner Family Winery – premium Napa Cabernet that normally retails for $60 a bottle and is rarely found for less than $50.

This blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc comes from a who’s-who of top vineyards in Napa (see the full review below for the specifics) and spends 22 months in 60% new French Oak. Since that time it has spent almost 4 years aging in bottle giving you a wine that is both delicious now and still has a decade or so of life ahead of it.

As we said, this is an expensive wine at $60 a bottle, but for the next two days we’re slashing that price by an astounding XX%…

Summer 2025 Shipping Options – We have both a Summer Shipping option (with heat protection) and a Summer Hold option. Our priority over the summer is to get your wine to you safely should you choose to have it shipped! Here are the details on both options:

Summer Ship (+$8) – Includes heat protection (styrofoam), freeze packs (when necessary), an upgrade to UPS 2-day shipping to minimize transit time when your order ships, and packages will only ship Monday through Wednesday to avoid them sitting somewhere hot over a weekend. Because we’re only shipping at the beginning of the week, these orders may take a bit more time to ship after the conclusion of the offer (likely 5-12 days rather than our normal 5-10).

These orders have an additional cost of $8 built into the product price for this Heat Protection Package. It is NOT possible (nor would it be advisable!) to purchase a deal with summer shipping without also including the Heat Protection Package.

Summer Hold (No Extra Charge) – Buy your wine now and have your shipment held (at no extra charge) for delivery in October! While we take every precaution we can with our Summer Shipping protocol, we also know that many of you travel or live in very hot areas where you don’t want to risk it (or you simply detest styrofoam).

Please note this is not a “ship-at-will” program, all your summer hold orders will ship (in cardboard/no styrofoam) at a date of our choosing in mid-October once temperatures have cooled down. Whatever shipping location option you choose at checkout (ship to home or ship to UPS Store) will apply in October.

And now on to our review:

The 2019 Miner Emily’s Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offers lots of cedar and barrel room aromas when first popped and poured. Those give way quickly to a very aromatic and attractive aroma of dark berry fruit, spice, vanilla, mint, a little dark chocolate and some wild herbs. It’s a wonderful, classic Napa Valley Cab start.

The wine tastes smooth, deep and savory with similar flavors to the nose. Full of rich, juicy fruit with great depth plus well-integrated spice and a lively mouthfeel, this is truly the good stuff!

It ends dry, juicy, a bit grippy and very long with lots of lasting spice and was even a touch better on day 2. We put this one at the high end of our 9 Taste Rating at 92-93 points.
