Tasting Notes: The bouquet of our 2021 Old Vine Cuvee opens with a dazzling array of ripe berries. Aromatics of strawberry, dark cherry, and blackberry sail from the glass. The palate follows in tow, with a wealth of ripe red and black fruits that are all melded together with refreshing acidity and a velvet-like texture. It is an excellent vintage that has all of the classic bold fruit you expect from this blend, along with the luscious texture of Lodi.
Winemaking Notes: The 2021 Old Vine Cuvee is a unique blend of Petite Sirah and Teroldego. Teroldego is an uncommon varietal that imparts a tremendous amount of ripe berry fruit flavors into the final blend, while also lending wonderfully approachable structure and texture to the wine. This ancient grape variety has been cultivated in Italy for thousands of years and is somewhat of a rarity to find in plantings in California.
Vintage Notes: 2021 was an excellent growing season that produced wines of remarkable quality, intensity, and complexity. It was a low-yielding vintage, and the grapes that made it to harvest possessed incredible concentration. Generally speaking, 2021s have an approachable structure, yet retain a balancing component of refreshing acidity.

The 2021 Trinitas Old Vine Cuvée begins with a very pleasing aroma full of ripe berry fruit plus baking spice, violets, licorice and touches of chocolate and vanilla. It’s a great start to this very intriguing blend.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be smooth, ripe, juicy and layered with all the same flavors from the nose shining through. Savory and balanced, this is delicious.
It ends dry, juicy and a little grippy on the long finish and was even a bit better on day 2 where it was somehow even more harmonious and savory. Stock up on this one!
