From internationally acclaimed winemaker Steve Bird comes Manu, a collection of New Zealand wines that reflect the best of what New Zealand offers. Manu is Maori word for both bird and kite, and the Manu logo is an interpretation of ‘Te Manu Tukutuku’, a beautifully crafted Maori kite. This kite represents the hallmarks of Manu wines: craftsmanship, elegance, and the pure nature of New Zealand.

Aromas of grapefruit, lime, lemongrass and tropical fruits all combine quite harmoniously on the nose of the 2020 Manu Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a very pleasing start.
Tasting the wine reveals rich, deep fruit flavors similar to the nose with some granny smith apple as well. It also features a smooth texture, good acidity and good balance. I especially appreciate that it doesn’t go overboard on the grassiness.
It ends dry with lots of lingering rich fruit. This is very nice.
