Michel Chapoutier Les Vignes de Bila Haut Pays d'Oc Rosé - Dry and Lively

60% Grenache and 40% Cinsault rosé from Languedoc, France. The wine is aged in stainless steel.

Sample submitted for review. The Bila Haut Rosé has an SRP of $15 and is available for as low as $10. It is imported by Sera Wine Imports.

From the bottle:

Roussillon, a land of legend and history. A place of contrasts, too, much as Bila-Haut. This wine is fresh and well-balanced with citrus aromas and is a perfect match for summer recipes.

14.5% Alcohol

The 2020 Les Vignes de Bila Haut Pays d’Oc Rosé from Michel Chapoutier begins with lots of pleasing strawberry and watermelon aromas along with some nice herbal notes and a touch of rhubarb.

Taking a sip reveals a tasty rosé with flavors similar to the nose, although it could use a bit more depth of flavor. Full of tart fruit, good acidity and a lively mouthfeel this is a nice example of dry rosé.

It ends dry, crisp, tart, long and refreshing.
