Tasting Notes: Rich, ripe peaches and green apples are followed by soft almond and fresh honeysuckle as the bouquet builds in the glass. The texture is medium bodied and crisp, not vapid and thin like other Pinot Grigios. Subtle peaches & cream are met with flavors or nectarine, soft watermelon, and a minerality reminiscent of fresh beach air.
Pairings: Fresh Caprese salad, linguine and clams in light butter cream, ceviche, sashimi, eggs benedict with sundried tomato Hollandaise.
Winemaking: The grapes are harvested early in the morning to keep them cold going to press. The wine is predominantly composed of free run juice, with a small addition of the lightly pressed juice added. 100% Pinot Grigio. Vegan Friendly.

And now on to our review:
The 2019 The Girls In The Vineyard Mendocino Pinot Grigio opens with a fresh, full and inviting aroma of peaches, watermelon, honeysuckle, tangerine and more! It’s an inviting start.
Taking a sip reveals a summer porch pounder with lots of juicy watermelon notes plus other flavors similar to the nose. Light to medium bodied with a wonderful smooth texture, good balance and good acidity, this is summer in a bottle and it’s still going strong at several years old.
It ends dry and crisp with a bit of lingering minerality on the mouth watering finish. I’d give this one another 1-2 years of prime drinking but I doubt you’ll be able to keep your hands off it for that long anyway so it’s probably a moot point! This is an incredible price for a wine of this quality.
