The wine is available exclusively at Trader Joe’s for just $9.99.

It’s another Trader Joe’s wine with next to no information, but hey, we like Cabernet Franc and Knights Valley is a premium spot in northern Sonoma County, so why not? Plus, it’s only $9.99.

We’re also not a fan of under-ripe green tones in our Cabernet Franc, so the fact that Knights Valley is one of the warmer spots in Sonoma sounds promising. Let’s check it out!

The 2021 Trader Joe’s Reserve Knights Valley Cabernet Franc Lot 260 opens with a rather simple but still quite pleasing aroma of ripe dark berry fruit, a little spice, a little vanilla and some cedar.

Taking a sip reveals the wine to be smooth and tasty with similar flavors to the nose. It also features some grippy tannins throughout. Easy to drink, and with no green (pyrazine) notes to be found, this offers good value.

It ends dry and quite long with a nice burst of spice at the very end. It was about the same on day 2. It won’t blow your socks off but it’s definitely worth the $10 price tag.
