The 2023 Terre Del Casone Toscana Vermentino opens with a pleasing aroma of citrus, peach, lemon and a bit of a minty, herbal, salty note. It’s a nice start.
Taking a sip reveals a rich, juicy, quite pleasing wine featuring similar flavors to the nose that are a bit more tart in the mouth. It could use a little more of the acidity this variety is known for but otherwise this is a nice example of Vermentino.
It ends dry and lip-smacking on the crisp finish. Like the photo on the label implies, this is a great wine to drink with seafood.
