The 2023 Zumaya Tempranillo begins with a pleasing aroma of ripe dark fruit, a little spice and a touch of balsamic. It’s a good start.
Tasting the wine reveals similar flavors to the nose with a smooth mouthfeel. It’s also a bit juicy and features decent depth and just enough tannins to keep it interesting. It won’t blow your socks off but it’s worth the 10 bucks for sure.
It ends dry with a little lasting spice on the longer than expected finish. It was similar on day 2.
