    The 27 bottles of Christmas!

Welcome to the weekly wrap-up for this holiday week. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends while enjoying lots of delicious wine! We certainly did and then per our usual tradition put up the Christmas tree. We went with a new type of tree this year but I'm worried it won't last until Christmas, what do you think?

We've been highlighting great gifts in this spot the past few weeks, but today I'm just going to direct you to Friday's post: Five Great Wine Gifts Under $25! We'll have even more great gift ideas over the next few weeks but even more immediate than that, stay tuned tomorrow for an exclusive Cyber Monday deal just for Reverse Wine Snob readers thanks to one of our newest sponsors!

And now the recap of the week...

We started this week with two excellent picks widely available at Costco. On Monday we featured the2010 Franciscan Estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon - Take a Vow of Delicious.Tuesday brought a lower priced alternative (only $6.99!), the 2010 Kirkland Signature Bordeaux Superieur - A Bordeaux Bargain From Costco. Both these wines are required entries on your next Costco shopping list.

On Wednesday we highlighted a fantastic and highly affordable Chianti, the 2010 Banfi Chianti Superiore - One Terrific Tuscan.

On Thursday we continued our Holiday Sparklers 2012 series with the Douglas Green The Beach House Sparkling Wine - A Sweet and Fruity Holiday Sparkler. This blend of 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Gewürztraminer from Western Cape, South Africa is a nice addition to the very popular Beach House line from Douglas Green.

Friday brought Five Great Wine Gifts Under $25!

And finally we ended the week with a Saturday Splurge on a blend of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Sauvignon and 10% Picolit, the 2009 Bastianich Vespa Bianco - The Friendliest Wasp (Vespa) You'll Ever Meet. There's no sting in this extremely flavorful wine.
