We’ve got nothing against corks or bottles. They’ve served humanity well for hundreds of years. But the aluminum can – now that’s the future! While the rest of the wine industry clings to their pomp and corkscrews, we have chosen a different path for our Monterey County Sauvignon Blanc, a path forged from light, clean, sustainable, infinitely recyclable aluminum. Yes… we’ve seen the future and it’s cool, crisp, brisk and refreshing. It’s elemental.
The 2017 AL Sauvignon Blanc begins with a very pleasant aroma of lime, grapefruit and lemon-soaked minerals. Taking a sip reveals tons of rich fruit with similar flavors to the nose plus green apple and touches of dried herbs. Add in good acidity and a nice substantial mouthfeel and this is quite a nice Sauvignon Blanc. It ends with a tart, dry and crisp finish. This is another great fit for a can. Sure, you’ll have to pour it into a glass to really get a good smell, but don’t feel like you have to do that as it’s just as good when tasting and the can comes with a lot of other benefits.
