Reserve 2019 Pinot Noir
Vineyard Source: 100% Carneros, Napa ValleyWinemaking: This 100% Pinot Noir was harvested and sorted, and then de-stemmed. It was punched cap fermented by hand in small, one ton open top T-bins, followed by 16 months of barreling in French oak (33% new).
Tasting Notes: Spicy aromatics and pomegranate mark the nose with a rich and complex, brightly balanced melange of red fruits the mouth. The finish is long and subtlety spicy. Pour with grilled salmon, nicoise salad or baked or smoked, well seasoned turkey.

The 2019 Anthony & Dominic Reserve Carneros Napa Valley Pinot Noir opens with a very pleasing aroma of black cherry and spice plus a little cranberry, a little strawberry, touches of vanilla and a bit of blood orange. It’s a lovely start.
Taking a sip reveals a balanced and complex with with good acidity and similar flavors to the nose plus some cola and a little licorice in the mouth. This is lovely stuff! And while it has almost no residual sugar (0.5 g/L), it’s still quite flavorful.
It ends dry, long and grippy with lasting fruit and some oaky spice underneath. It was just as good on day 2. Did I mention this is absolutely lovely?
