From the bottle:
The Wachau Valley is one of the leading wine regions of the world. Terraced vineyards, a unique climate and primary rock define the wines. Federspiel stands for the medium-bodied, elegantly balanced wines of the Wachau. Riesling is known for its peach and apricot aromas.

We’re huge fans of the Domane Wachau Gruner Veltliner, so we were quite happy to give their Riesling a try. Let’s check it out.
The 2021 Domäne Wachau Federspiel Terrassen Riesling opens with a very attractive aroma of lime, pear, peach, some salty minerality and a touch of honeysuckle. It’s a nice start.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be dry but loaded with juicy fruit flavors similar to the nose. Fresh and crisp, it features lovely textures and layers of flavor. This is delicious and very easy to drink.
It ends dry, crisp, tart and very long with a lip-smacking finish that goes on and on. It’s not quite as impressive as the Gruner (which is fantastic) but this is very good.
