Checking out the new Kirkland Signature Prosecco Rosé DOC bottling from Costco and whether it lives up to the high standard of the Asolo Prosecco.
Extra Dry Prosecco rosé sparkling wine made with the Glera grape and 10-15% Pinot Noir from Veneto, Italy.
The wine is available exclusively at Costco for just $6.99, the same price as the standard Prosecco bottling. Unlike that wine; however, the rosé carries a vintage designation as required by the new Italian law allowing for the production of these wines.
In fact, we have been waiting to try this bottle since the introduction of Prosecco Rosé last year. Of the course, the standard Costco Kirkland Signature Asolo Prosecco is one of our very top value picks so that set our expectations high! Let's check it out.

The 2020 Kirkland Signature Prosecco Rosé DOC begins with a pleasing aroma of citrus, a little apple and strawberry plus some fresh baked bread and a hint of a floral note.
Tasting the crisp, dry, balanced and very satisfying wine reveals lovely, fine bubbles and similar flavors to the nose with a little watermelon in the mouth as well. This makes quite a nice palate cleanser and will be great with all kinds of fatty and salty snacks.
My only complaint is that the finish is a bit short. Even so, just like the regular Prosecco this one hits it out of the park on the value scale.
