The 2019 Le Palaie Gatta Ci Cova Terre di Pisa opens with a pleasing aroma of black cherry, black raspberry, a little bramble, touches of spice and dried herbs.

The wine tastes juicy and smooth with light tannins. It’s not super complex but it has good balance acidity, and is quite easy to drink. It gets better as it has time in the glass so be sure to give it plenty of air.

It ends dry and a bit grippy on the long finish.
