Pertinace Langhe Nebbiolo – Savory and Delicious

Last Updated on July 29, 2025

Piedmont without the high price tag, the Pertinace Langhe Nebbiolo.

Pertinace Langhe Nebbiolo - Savory and Delicious

Nebbiolo from near the town of Treiso in Langhe, Piedmont, Italy. The wine spends 9-12 months in Slavonian oak casks.

Sample submitted for review. The Pertinace Langhe Nebbiolo has an SRP of $21 and is available for as low as $16.

From the winery:

Red wine made with grapes coming from of our vineyards. The Barbaresco younger brother is nice to enjoy with red and white meats or medium aged cheese.

14% Alcohol

Nebbiolo is, of course, the grape behind the famed Barbaresco and Barolo wines of Piedmont. And while those wines are priced mostly above our $20 limit, Langhe Nebbiolo offers an opportunity to coveted grape at a much more reasonable price. Let’s check this one out.

The 2018 Pertinace Langhe Nebbiolo begins with an excellent aroma that sucks you right into the glass. It’s full of red berry fruit, licorice, leather and a little mint plus some nice savory herbal notes.

Taking a sip reveals a tasty, savory, delicious wine with juicy fruit flavors similar to the nose, a smooth mouthfeel with grippy tannins and a little bit of earthiness under the fruit. This is wonderful.

It ends with a dry, long, savory, grippy finish. I love it.
