The Forty Year Dream
Since studying viticulture and enology at UC Davis in 1971, I’ve dreamed of producing exceptional wines at a great value to create a beautiful experience for you. The vineyards for this wine are located in the heart of the Russian River Valley, the coolest, foggiest growing region in Sonoma County, California.

Tasting Notes: Bright nose of cherry and plum lead the way to hints of cocoa layered with spice aromas. The bouquet is rounded out with toasty vanilla oak and the berry flavors offer a balanced and elegant finish. This very approachable wine offers soft tannins, luscious fruit with a gentle oak mid-palate and earthy, lingering finish.

The 2017 Ron Rubin Winery Russian River Valley Pinot Noir begins with a pleasing aroma of cherry, cranberry and dried herbs along with touches of licorice, black tea and spice too. It’s a great start.
The wine tastes smooth and juicy with deep flavors on the fruit and similar flavors to the nose. Add in some soft tannins, good balance and good acidity and this is a really solid, crowd-pleasing Pinot Noir.
Nice touches of cola, oak and a bit of earthy minerality lead into the dry, long finish. This is a really solid RRV Pinot Noir at this price.
