This blend of red varietals combine to produce a flavoursome and mouth-filling wine rich in blackberry and plum fruits. Aromas of subtle spice, berry fruits and fruit cake characters on the nose will have this wine pair well with grilled meats, lamb, duck or barbecue pork.
14.5% Alcohol
The 2016 Rubus Proprietary Reserve Red opens with a pleasing aroma of blackberry, plum and spice plus a little vanilla and balsamic. The wine tastes smooth and easy with plenty of juicy and tart fruit. Excellent touches of spice and minerality lead into the long, dry finish. This is a really solid example of the type of Calatayud Garnacha that consistently over-delivers for the price.
