From the bottle:
Produced from 100% Vermentino grapes, this Mediterranean varietal thrives under the beneficial influence of Mistral winds. Delicious apple and pear flavors and a crisp finish are the hallmark of this exceptionally versatile white. It pairs well with appetizers and hors d’oeuvres and is an excellent match with seafood and shellfish dishes.

And now on to our review:
The 2023 Sella & Mosca La Cala Vermentino di Sardegna DOC opens with loads of lemon aromas plus some other citrus and floral notes. With hints of herbs and a nutty note too, it’s a nice start.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be smooth with similar flavors to the nose that are more tart and tangy in the mouth. This tastes just like a good Vermentino should. Featuring good depth, structure and acidity, this is all around really pleasant.
It ends dry, tangy and with good length on the delicious finish.
Cheers,
Jon
