A fantastic Costco find, the Tabula Ribera del Duero Tempranillo.
100% Tempranillo from 40+ year old vines at 800 meters of altitude in Ribera del Duero, Spain. The wine spends 14-16 months in French oak barrels and 6 months in oak vats.

Deep cherry red colour. Aromas of ripe fruit, spices and hints of liquorice. Soft palate fresh tannins. Full and lingering finish. Tabula feels earthier and rustic, with some peat aromas and abundant, slightly astringent tannins.
14.5% Alcohol
The 2017 Tabula Ribera del Duero begins with a harmonious, savory and very enticing aroma of black cherry, licorice and spice. It’s a great start.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be just as savory and harmonious as the nose with similar flavors and a soft, smooth mouthfeel. Full-bodied and delicious, this is the type of wine Ribera del Duero is renowned for.
It ends dry, grippy and long and was just as good, if not even a bit better, on day two. This is an excellent example of Tempranillo.
