After several months of sales, our inventory has now been depleted! But don't worry you can check out our NEW All-Stars White and Rosé Wine Intro Pack and All-Stars Red Wine Intro Pack and/or take advantage of our 3 times/week Insider Deals!
What if there was a way to try four of our highest rated wines, all with 10 Taste Ratings (94+ points), all from different wineries, and all offered at a huge discount? Well, today there is! It's the Insider Deal "Perfect 10" Pack, available for as long as our inventory of these small production wines lasts.
We saw how much you enjoyed our (now expired) Insider Deal All Star Intro Pack or as we liked to call it, one of our "Reverse Wine Club" packs. These collections consist of multiple wines from different wineries, all in one deal. These are also not flash deals, but available for you to take advantage of for months at a time, and as often as you want, without any commitment at all.
And since we love our readers, we wanted to offer you an extra special collection. But the question was, how do we top the amazing wines we already have available? Our answer: A 4-pack that only include those rare wines that garner a perfect 10 Taste Rating!
So today, we want to introduce you to the "Perfect 10" Pack. This is an unprecedented opportunity to try four different Perfect 10s in one deal! (It also makes a fantastic gift.)
The "Perfect 10" Pack includes:
- The estate grown, hedonistically good Frog's Tooth Petite Sirah from the Sierra Foothills. Just 147 cases of this amazing wine were produced!
- The estate grown, deliciously delicious Andis Wines Barbera d'Amador. With a pedigree of high scores and a spot on our list of the Top 10 Red Wines of 2021 this has been an extremely popular Insider Deal over the years.
- Walla Walla Cabernet at a huge discount! The Bergevin Lane Moonspell Cabernet Sauvignon has been one of our best-selling Cab offers of all-time, going back over multiple vintages.
- And finally, the definition of an Autobuy - a Scott Harvey Zinfandel! With plenty of big scores in agreement, this is one of our very favorite wines.
This collection is designed to let you enjoy these four amazing, highly popular wines at a huge discount while removing the risk of buying multiple bottles of a single wine.
And just like the Intro Pack, this is not a flash sale format. However, while this offer does not expire, we do have limited quantities so once they're gone, they're gone!
In order for as many people as possible to take part, we've also expanded the ship states for this offer to just about every state we can possibly ship to - which means some of you will be able to try wines from these wineries for the very first time.
Rarely discounted, these four wines have an SRP of around $133. As usual you won't pay anywhere close to that price through our Insider Deal....
Save even more with our extremely reasonable shipping, which is a flat $6.99 per order no matter how many 4-packs you buy (limit of 6 per order). All told, you're saving over $65 per order! Read on for our full reviews of each wine.
This 4-pack deal is available to ship to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WV, WI and WY. (These states are dependent on the individual licenses of the offering winery. Future deals may have more or less states available.)
While we have a good bit of inventory of these four wines, due to their small productions, we don't expect this deal to last very long. There is no expiration date but we do encourage you to order early if you want to take part! Orders will be batched together and sent out the beginning of each week via UPS ground.
Clicking on the buy button above will take you to the site winedealmaker.com to checkout. If you don't see the embedded buy box click here to order.
Up first, it's the hedonistically good, flavor monster, the Frog's Tooth Petite Sirah!
Petite Sirah is one of our very favorite "value" varieties as this grape doesn't command the premium of grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, yet good examples can easily match the best of that variety.
This is an irresistible example from the Sierra Foothills. Normally priced well above our price range at $38 a bottle, you're saving a boatload on this big, full-bodied wine.
The estate grown 2018 Frog's Tooth Petite Sirah is aged in 60% French and 40% American oak. Only 147 cases were produced.
From the bottle:
Since 2003, our family has been cultivating the vineyards at Frog's Tooth in the beautiful Sierra Foothills. We believe the climate, elevation, and our dedication to hand sorting every varietal allows us to produce the finest wines in the region.
Being a product of the Sierra Foothills himself, winemaker Will SavoieHoule strives to ensure each bottle represents a true taste of the region. We know your family will enjoy this wine as much as ours does. Cheers!

The 2018 Frog's Tooth Petite Sirah pours dark and inky in the glass, just like a good Petite Sirah should.
It opens with loads of dark fruit (blackberry and blackcurrant mainly) plus plenty of well integrated spice, licorice, leather, and more. It's quite attractive and savory in an almost hedonistic way.
Tasting reveals a big, full-bodied, rich and flavorful Petite Sirah but not in over-the-top way thanks to its excellent balance. It features a smooth and velvety mouthfeel and just an abundance of flavors that are similar to the nose.
It ends dry, vibrant, a bit tannic and quite long with lots of lively, rich, juicy fruit that lasts and lasts. I love it and it was just as good on day 2.
Next, we've got the deliciously delicous Andis Wines Barbera d'Amador.
We're delighted to be able to include this wine, especially since only 471 cases of the 2020 were produced. This is 100% Barbera from the Andis Estate vineyard in the Sierra Foothills AVA. The wine is fermented in steel tanks and spends 18 months in French oak barrels, 15% of which were new.
This wine also has almost no residual sugar (1.7 g/L) but don't let that fool you into thinking it is light on sweet fruit flavors! Read on for more on that.
The Andis Barbera also has a long line of 90-94 point scores over the years as well as spots on our Top 10 year-end lists. While the recently released 2020 doesn't have any outside scores yet, we feel that this is one of the best vintages yet. We easily gave it a perfect 10 Taste Rating.
The name of the wine (Barbera d'Amador) is an ode to the excellent Barbera grown in Amador County much like the Italian areas of Alba and Asti. In fact, the first Amador vineyards were established in 1849 during the Gold Rush and Italian varietals like Zinfandel, Sangiovese and especially Barbera have been at the forefront ever since.
And there really is something truly special about the Barbera grown here, in fact it's one of my favorite spots in the world for this variety. If you had a chance to get in on any of our Scott Harvey Barbera offers, then you know why. Today's wine is just as good.
This just released 2020 vintage is only available from the winery at the SRP of $30.
From the winery:
2020 Estate Grown
A true expression of the grape, medium-bodied, and gentle tannin with deep dark color. Aromas of blackberry with notes of vanilla from oak aging.
Barbera is originally from the Italian region of Piedmont. It was introduced to the Sierra Foothills at the end of the 1800s and still thrives here today. The variety's natural acidity and deep color make it a wonderful stand-alone wine.
Andis Barbera is 100% grown in our Estate on decomposed granite soils at 1500 feet elevation, facing North. This red wine is a true expression of a robust, full-bodied, and firmly tannic wine with deep dark color, giving it a rustic appeal. The name Barbera d'Amador is an homage to the other two famous regions of the world, Alba and Asti.

BOOM! It only takes one sniff to know you're in for something special here...
The 2020 Andis Wines Barbera d'Amador begins with beautiful blackberry and bright cherry fruit intermingled with spice, black pepper and vanilla. It's a lovely, succulent aroma that sucks you right into the glass. And amazingly, it gets even better as this relatively young wine has more time to breathe.
The wine tastes deliciously delicious! Loaded with super rich and juicy tart fruit flavors, great acidity and a smooth and silky texture, this is just a beauty. It has almost no residual sugar at all but it's extremely flavorful with Sweet Tart candy like flavors. Overall similar in flavor to both the 2018 and 2019 we previously offered, the 2020 continues the trend and perhaps even manages to elevate the experience.
It ends dry, very long and lingering and a bit tannic and grippy. Pair it with pizza or anything else in tomato sauce and you'll be in heaven. It was even slightly better on day 2.
As we noted above, we absolutely love Barbera from this area, and this is a great example not to be missed.

We're only halfway through this amazing deal! Next up is the enchanting Bergevin Lane Moonspell Cabernet Sauvignon from the Walla Walla Valley.
Why pay Napa prices when you can get the same quality for so much less?
We were overjoyed the first time we offered this wine, the 2015 vintage, and you were too based on the response. The 2016 we next offered was even better, garnering a perfect 10 Taste rating and it still stands as one of our most popular deals ever. The 2017 also hit perfect 10 status and did equally as well when we offered it and is the wine included in today's 4-pack.
A mere 729 cases were produced of this beautiful wine which is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Merlot and comes from the Bergevin Springs Vineyards (60%), Les Collines Vineyard (37%) and XL Vineyard (3%) all in Walla Walla, Washington.
Winemaker Dave Harvey aged the wine for 19 months in 30% new French oak, 30% new American oak, 10% new EU oak and 30% neutral oak barrels.
With an SRP of $35, the 2017 is currently only available direct from the winery.
From the winery:
Aromas of ripe summer blackberries, spice, vanilla, and toasted oak on the nose with flavors of dark fruits including blackberry, black cherry, cassis, spice, white pepper, and baking spices with youthful tannins and a lingering smooth finish.
Harvested in the late portion of the season, we rely on both chemical analysis and flavor analysis to determine ripeness. The cabernet sauvignon clusters were hand-harvested, hand-sorted, destemmed, and lightly crushed. We only use gravity to move the crushed grapes and juice. No pressed wine is used in making the Moonspell. The free-run juice is barrel-aged for 19 months, thoughtfully blended by our winemaking team, and bottled.
Established in 2002 by friends Annette Bergevin & Amber Lane pursuing a shared dream. Bergevin Lane Winery nurtures wines that embody the truly unique environment of Walla Walla, Columbia, and Yakima Valleys and the distinct single vineyards from where the rich terrestrial wines come from. Our goal is to design wines that are well-balanced, fruit-forward, and structured so that they may be cellared or enjoyed immediately.

The 2017 Bergevin Lane Moonspell Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a downright lovely aroma of black cherry and plum plus lots of vanilla, lots of spice, cedar, a little leather and even a hint of a meaty note.
The wine tastes smooth and silky with loads of dry, juicy dark berry fruit that is wonderfully intertwined with baking spice and touches of vanilla. This is a great example of a Washington Cab with plenty of well-done oak influence. While still fairly young, it really opens up beautifully with a couple hours of air. This is a fantastic Cab once again.
It ends with a dry, savory, very long and slightly tannic finish featuring lingering juicy fruit, vanilla, licorice, chocolate and tobacco. I absolutely love it! And while it's drinking great right now, I know it will get even better with age. (Both the 2015 and 2016 are drinking amazingly right now - we should know, we've got a boatload in our cellar!)
Like we said above, why pay Napa prices when you can get the same quality for so much less?

And last but not least, we're rounding out this 4-pack with one of our most popular wines and the definition of an "Autobuy", the Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Zinfandel.
We don't use the term "Autobuy" lightly but when a producer has repeatedly and continuously blown us (and all of you) away with their wines, it becomes warranted. And that is just the case with Scott Harvey.
After the smashing success of multiple offerings in the past, today we turn to a 93-point (Wine Enthusiast)/94+ point (us) Zinfandel from Scott's sweet spot, Amador County. (Are you sensing a theme in location on many of these wines?)
And believe me, I am always happy to take advantage of Scott's 45+ years of experience making excellent wine in this area especially when we get to do it for $20 or less.
Amador County in the Sierra Foothills is special spot, especially for Italian varietals like Zinfandel. With nearly 600 acres of vines 65+ years old, winemaking here goes back to the Gold Rush of 1849. In fact, there are still several vineyards (of the 40 or so total) which had their start in the 19th century.
Today's Zinfandel comes primarily from vineyards in the higher elevations of Shenandoah Valley. Specifically, that breaks down to 52% Bowman Vineyard, 40% Spinetta Vineyard, 4% Rohan Vineyard and 4% York Vineyard in Fiddletown.
This wine normally retails for $30, which is no surprise given the quality and the careful winemaking including 22 months in French oak. 1,304 cases were produced.
The 2019 Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Zinfandel is 96% Zinfandel and 4% Syrah. It is aged 22 months in French oak and has just 2 g/L of residual sugar.
From the winery:
Tasting Notes: Fruit forward, rich full flavors expressing both the varietal and the Amador Terroir. This complex wine has notes of bright raspberry, earthy tones, briary Zinfandel character with a fresh finish.
Vineyard Notes: Amador County is extremely well suited to Zinfandel. Zinfandel has been grown in the Amador County Gold Rush area for over 150 years. These old head pruned dryland farmed vineyards produce low yields of extractive flavorful Zinfandel.
Winemaker Notes: Grown on steep mountainous terrain in the higher elevations of the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County, California. 2019 Spring during flowering was cold a dreary which caused a 50% decline in crop yields at harvest. Because of low yields the long and drawn-out harvest produced exceptional flavor and extractive wines.
Bottled by Scott Harvey Wines
14.9% Alcohol
The 2019 Scott Harvey Mountain Selection Zinfandel begins with a wonderful, big, very spicy aroma of cherry, raspberry, vanilla, tons of licorice and more. It's quite inviting, and it gains even more complexity as it has time in the glass.
Tasting reveals plenty of spicy fruit and licorice to go along with candied cherry flavors in this balanced and delicious wine. I almost want to describe it as liquid candy but that doesn't really fit since this is a very dry wine with less than 2 grams per liter of residual sugar. It is; however, extremely flavorful.
And while previous iterations of this wine needed some time to breathe, this vintage is very balanced and harmonious right from get-go. In fact, this might be the tastiest iteration of this wine yet and that's really saying something!
It ends dry and slightly grippy with tons of lasting fruit, licorice and spice and even a bit of lingering earthiness. It's fantastic and it was just as good on day 2.
