The country of Portugal has long been associated with fortified Port wines and for good reason. However, if that’s the only wine you drink from Portugal you are definitely missing out. Those same grape varieties used in Port make some of the most exciting red wines on the market. But best of all, none of them will empty your wallet, simply because the region is not as renowned as it should be.
