An elegant wine with excellent structure. Ruby red in color, it offers a rich bouquet of ripe wild berries and toasted notes. This wine is lush and full-flavored with velvety tannins. Aged 18 months in French and Slavonian oak.
This Vino Nobile pairs nicely with hearty foods, such as rich pastas, grilled red meats, game, roasts and aged cheeses.

The 2016 Valdipiatta Vino Nobile di Montepulciano begins with lots of spicy berry aromas, some nice floral notes, a little cedar and leather. It's an impressive start for sure. Tasting the wine reveals it to be a smooth, juicy and delicious Italian that will go wonderfully with all kinds of dishes. In the mouth you'll find more berry fruit plus some candied cherry notes and wonderfully integrated spice. It's got good acidity and great balance too. This is tasty. It ends with a dry, long, grippy, super savory finish. I love it!
