The 2017 Castillo Monjardin Garnacha La Cantera begins with an inviting aroma of blackberry and plum along with nice touches of vanilla and light spice plus some pleasant lavender and violet floral notes. The wine tastes smooth and juicy with ripe dark berry fruit intermingled with cedar, earth and oaky spice notes. Add in a silky texture on this medium-bodied wine and you have a very satisfying, easy to drink Garnacha. It ends dry with good length. Once again, old vine Spanish Garnacha brings tremendous value!
