From the bottle:
Chateau de Lancyre is arguably the best domaine in the Languedoc's top wine district, Pic St. Loup. This dry rosé is perfect for red wine lovers, offering ripe raspberries on the nose, with distinctive aromas (thyme, lavender, rosemary) typical of the sun-drenched, Mediterranean garrigue. It is big, bold and firm on the palate, ending with a long, clean finish. Enjoy on its own, or paired with roast chicken or pork, charcuterie, or stuffed tomatoes. A serious rosé for year round enjoyment!
13.5% Alcohol
The 2015 Chateau de Lancyre Rosé begins with a very pleasant aroma of strawberry, raspberry and pear with a nice hints of garrigue. Those fruit flavors persist for a tremendously long time when tasting and have wonderful hints of spice and herbs. Quite simply, this is a big, tasty, serious rosé! With great depth of flavor, a smooth mouthfeel, great balance and good acidity it has everything you want in a dry rosé. Add in enough complexity for red wine drinkers while still being quite refreshing and you've got a winner. Rosé is one of our favorite pairings for Thanksgiving dinner and this wine would make a great option.
