From the bottle:
In 1955 our family, owner of the renowned Chateau-Fuisse, built a small winery dedicated to hand crafted wines from Southern Burgundy (the Maconnais and the Beaujolais). In this winery, we vinify wines sourced from family vineyards or those of our neighbors. The range now includes our well known Bourgogne Blanc (white Burgundy), our delicious and highly rated Pouilly-Fuisse "Marie Antoinette", our delightful Crus of Beaujolais and our delicate sparkling wine, Cremant de Bourgogne "100% Chardonnay". They are made with the same care we give to the wines of Chateau-Fuisse itself. All are made for your enjoyment and all express our motto, "L'Excellence Familiale".

The Burgundy region in France is not one that we frequently visit here at Reverse Wine Snob. The reason for that is simple - the prices. There are; however, ways to shop this region on a budget and we'll be highlighting a few different recommendations over the next few weeks.
Today's wine, for example, is what is called a "Bourgogne Blanc". This typically means that the wine comes from areas that are not part of a location specific appellation. Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris are all allowed in the production of these wines, with Chardonnay being the most popular.
The 2014 JJ Vincent Bourgogne Blanc begins with a pleasant aroma of pear, apple, floral notes (honeysuckle) and a bit of vanilla. In the mouth the wine tastes rich, tart and tangy with nice depth in the green apple, pear, lemon and grapefruit flavors. Fresh and with good acidity, the wine has a touch of cream to it but is still light to drink. A little minerality and some well-integrated oak lead into the dry, rich and long finish. This would be a nice wine to start out your Thanksgiving celebration.
