Since 1883, Concannon Vineyard has been a trailblazer in California wine. We celebrate over 130 years of Cabernet Sauvignon, a legacy started by my great-grandfather, James, who imported extraordinary vines directly from renowned vineyards in Bordeaux. Today, our acclaimed Concannon Cabernet Sauvignon Clones are the most predominantly planted in California and its premium wine growing regions. The warm daytime temperatures and cool evenings of Paso Robles translate to outstanding tannin structure and complexity in this full-bodied wine. Enjoy rich aromas and luscious flavors of red cherry and ripe plum, highlighted by hints of cocoa and vanilla.

The 2016 Concannon Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon begins with lots of cinnamon and vanilla notes on the nose along with nice plum and black cherry fruit aromas. In the mouth the wine tastes smooth, silky and rich with similar flavors to the nose plus licorice and some graphite minerality. It ends with a dry, long, satisfying finish.
Everything just combines quite nicely when tasting this one. It’s got quite a bit of oak influence but the wine handles it very nicely. Well done!
