Wine made from grapes grown at Esporao estate. Partially aged in tulip shaped tanks.
Herdade do Esporao, located near Reguengos de Monsaraz, maintains its boundaries unchanged since 1267. Our viticulture results in the production of high quality grapes, without the use of chemical products that can prejudice soil quality and our own health. Innovative tulip shaped porous tanks, in our new 'Lagares' winery, preserve the principal characteristics of the wines made from these vineyards. Since 1985, Esporao maintains its commitment to produce the finest wines that nature provides, in the most responsible and inspiring way possible.
14.5% Alcohol
The 2018 Esporao Colheita Tinto begins with very pleasing aromas of dark berry fruit, plum, spice, coffee, violets and just a touch of cocoa.
Taking a sip reveals lots of concentrated and juicy berry flavors, quite tart in the mouth, along with more coffee, cocoa and a bit of minerality under all the fruit. Yum, this is savory, delicious stuff!
It ends dry and a bit grippy and long on the tart, dark berry fruit filled finish.
