Driven by his passion for the Mediterranean lifestyle, Gerard Bertrand reveals all the unique character of the region’s finest wine terroirs. The Minervois is one of the most renowned Appellations in the South of France, characterized by hilly landscapes.
Deep red color with complex notes of blackberries and cocoa. Elegant, round and full bodied with rich aromas of ripe plums and roasted coffee. This well balanced wine will age gracefully.
Best served at 60F with beef, sausages and pasta with red sauce.

The 2013 Gerard Bertrand Minervois begins with a very pleasant aroma full of spice, dark fruit, licorice and a hint of black olives. Tasting the wine shows it to be smooth and easy to drink with tons of juicy, spice-laden fruit. Secondary notes of balsamic, coffee and olives add plenty of intrigue. An earthy mineral streak develops on the mid-palate and leads into the dry, long, satisfying finish. I love this one, it’s so easy to drink but has so much going on as well. It just keeps getting better as it gets more air too, so be sure to give it plenty of time to breathe before serving.
