Angel Paulucci invites you to climb into his 1933 Model A and weave through the vineyards of Ugarteche. You'll hear of his childhood in Italy and his passion for Malbec grapes. Today we're featuring the second wine in the La Posta series of single-grower, single-vineyard wines from Laura Catena. And just like last time we again turn to Malbec.
The 2016 La Posta Paulucci Malbec begins with a very nice aroma of ripe plum, blackberry and pepper plus lavender, violet and mint. The wine tastes excellent with savory and juicy fruit along with gently smooth spice wrapped up in a silky texture. The primary flavors in this medium to full-bodied wine are blackberry, black cherry and plum. The best part; however, is the very long finish where the spice lingers and lingers, finally resolving into vanilla and caramel notes at the very end. Highly recommended!
