The Badgerhound is all about duality. Handsome and sweet, but ready to spring into action if need be. We set out to make a Zinfandel as tenacious as the Badgerhound. It presents dark plum richness at the start, and that is balanced out by some trademark Sonoma County pepper notes. This is a big, meaty Zinfandel, and it will give you plenty to sink your teeth into. This dog will definitely hunt.

The 2015 Badgerhound Zinfandel begins with beautifully ripe, deep blackberry and black cherry aromas along with gentle notes of spice, vanilla and chocolate. It's a fabulous way to start but it keeps getting better from here. Taking a sip reveals a smooth and extremely tasty wine full of sweet, ripe dark fruit that is a bit on the jammy side and intertwined with plenty of peppery spice, vanilla and chocolate just like the nose. Soft tannins and a touch of bramble lead into the dry, long, satisfying finish.
We're big fans of pairing Zinfandel with just about anything you would put BBQ sauce on, and this one will make a fine pairing for that. Highly Recommended!
