Grand Mori Valdobbiadene Prosecco – A Steal

By: Jon Thorsen Last Updated: November 18, 2019

Budget priced without the budget taste thanks to Aldi, the Grand Mori Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry.

Grand Mori Valdobbiadene Prosecco - A Steal

Prosecco made from the Glera grape in Valdobbiadene, Italy.

The Grand Mori Valdobbiadene Prosecco is available exclusively at Aldi and sells for just $9.99, which is a killer price for Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore. (For more on the different designations of Prosecco, see this post.) It is imported by Prestige Beverage Group.

From the bottle:

Glera grapes for this premium Prosecco are grown on the steep slopes of the renowned hills of the Valdobbiadene region in Italy, known for growing the highest quality grapes. This Italian sparkling wine displays floral aromas with bright fruit and green apple flavors with a crisp and refreshing finish. Pair with fresh fruit, salads, mild cheeses, as an aperitif, or simply on its own. Best when served chilled.

11% Alcohol

The Non-Vintage Grand Mori Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry begins with pleasing aromas of melon, pear, honeysuckle, and a bit of fresh baked bread. The bouquet is a bit subdued but quite nice nevertheless.

The wine tastes crisp with plenty of fruit and just the right amount of bubbles. This is crowd-pleasing stuff that balances the sweetness wonderfully. Green apple, pear and orange zest are just a few of the flavors you’ll find when tasting.

One the finish, the fruit flavors continue for quite a long time with just a hint of nuttiness lurking underneath. This is one refreshing drink, I loved it.
