The best wine begins with the best grapes. To find them, Landmark's winemaker sources fruit from the finest vineyards in California. At harvest, grapes are handpicked, hand-sorted and fermented in small French oak barrels. The result is this exquisite, full-bodied Chardonnay. With delicate aromas of peach and Meyer lemon, it pairs beautifully with seafood, poultry and even spicy Asian cuisine.

The 2018 Landmark Vineyards Overlook Chardonnay begins with an expressive aroma full of lemon and tons of toasty notes. There are also some nice secondary touches of citrus and crème brulee but the lemon and toast rule the day.
Taking a sip reveals a similar story to the nose with lots of lemon and toasty notes but rich citrus and apple fruit flavors also make a welcome appearance. Featuring a smooth, unctuous mouthfeel, it also exhibits plenty of oak influence but I didn't find it to be overly buttery. Toasty Chard fans will find a lot to like here but I think it also has pretty wide appeal. It ends dry, toasty and long.
