Loosen Dr. L Riesling - Peachy!

By: Jon Thorsen Published: May 13, 2020 Last Updated: May 23, 2021

Medium dry but maximum delicious, the Loosen Dr. L Riesling.

Loosen Dr. L Riesling - Peachy!

100% Riesling from Mosel, Germany. The wine is produced 100% in stainless steel and has 44.5 g/L of residual sugar.

Looking for something a little more dry? Check out our review of the tart and zesty dry Riesling from the Dr. L line.

Sample submitted for review. The Loosen Dr. L Riesling has an SRP of $12 and is available for as low as $8, including at many Costco locations. Ready to buy? Check your local retailers. Imported by Loosen Bros USA Ltd.

    From the bottle:

A crisp, fruity and refreshing Riesling from the mineral-rich slate soil of the Mosel Valley. It is an ideal companion to mildly spicy stir fry dishes and Indian curries or simply serve as an aperitif.

    8.5% Alcohol

The 2018 Dr. L Riesling begins with pleasing aromas of pear, green apple, lemon, lime, peach, a touch of tropical fruit and a little bit of petrol. Upon taking a sip you are greeted by tons of vibrant sweet fruit. Lively acidity helps balance it out but it's still quite sweet. It features similar flavors to the nose but they are more tart when tasting. It ends with a sweet, long finish that leaves you tasting the honey on your lips for quite some time. This is a refreshing one at only 8.5% alcohol.

Ready to buy? Check your local retailers.
