In 1946, family matriarch Maddalena Riboli began her lifelong journey with San Antonio Winery. She founded one of the first tasting rooms in the state and a highly successful restaurant. Today, the third and fourth generations of the Riboli family honor her passion and dedication with each bottle of her namesake wine.
Cabernet Sauvignon thrives in the warm days and cool nights of Paso Robles. With steep hillsides and ideal soils, our family's estate vineyards produce intense flavors, plush mouthfeel, and deep color. Ripe blackberry and dark cherry are complemented by spicy oak from barrel aging. Enjoy with grilled steaks, rich stews, and hearty pastas.

The 2017 Maddalena Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon from Riboli Family Wines/San Antonio Winery opens with an attractive, almost jammy aroma of ripe berry fruits with nice touches of spice, mint, vanilla and more.
Taking a sip reveals a really nice Cab with quite a bit of oak influence, but it is extremely well integrated. It features a smooth, silky, velvety, soft mouthfeel with a bit of a leatheriness to it as well. With good balance and good complexity this is quite delicious and a great find for the price.
It ends dry, long and savory. Who needs Napa Valley when you can get this kind of quality from Paso Robles at less than half the price?
