85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot from Colchagua Valley, Chile. 45% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for eight months. The wine has residual sugar of just 2.55 grams/liter.

Our estates, located in the heart of the Colchagua Valley are some of the best winemaking areas in Chile. We aim to produce the highest quality wines which subtly marry rich fruit flavours with French oak, aged for six months.
The wine has intense ruby-red colour and the nose is packed with layers of caramel, cinnamon, candy and hints of mint, with a prevalence of fruit over the French oak. This spicy, full-flavoured wine, with good body, fruit and firm tannins has an engaging and long finish. Also recommended for mid term cellaring.

The 2013 Montes Classic Series Cabernet Sauvignon begins with pleasant aromas of strawberry, raspberry, spice, a little earthiness and a hint of green. Tasting the wine reveals a soft, smooth, easy drinker with plenty of flavor. Sweet spice, more red fruit, touches of vanilla, licorice and even caramel are just a few of the things you’ll find in this medium-bodied wine that tastes sweeter than it is. Good acidity and nicely integrated black pepper lead into the dry, surprisingly long finish that also features nice streaks of peppery spice, caramel and vanilla. A great burger wine!
