Another highly recommended Costco find, the Paul Buisse Chinon Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley of France.
100% Cabernet Franc from the Loire Valley of France. The wine was aged in stainless steel for one year and does not spend any time in oak. It has less than 2 g/L of residual sugar and is vegan friendly.
The Paul Buisse Chinon Cabernet Franc has an average price on wine-search of $14 but we found it at Costco for just $9.99.
This medium bodied Cabernet Franc embodies the heart of Chinon, one of the Loire Valley's most famous appellations. An approachable alternative for Cabernet Sauvignon lovers, this everyday wine is bright and fruit forward with crushed black fruit flavors. A balanced acidity makes it food friendly and a seamless pairing for grilled meats and soft cheeses, particularly goat cheese.

The 2019 Paul Buisse Chinon Cabernet Franc begins with an enticing aroma full of bright, ripe berry fruit along with some herbal notes.
Tasting reveals a lovely, balanced wine that is focused on juicy fruit although there are also continued touches of herbs along with a little spice as well. With a smooth mouthfeel and good acidity, this is quite nice and easy to drink.
It ends long and dry with a little bit of chalkiness on the finish.
Is Cabernet Franc underrated or what? We tasted this one back to back with the Lamadrid Cabernet Franc from Argentina and while both are delicious, the contrast was striking.
