This Gewurztraminer derives its balance from cool-climate grapes cultivated by small, independent growers in the tradition of Emma Reichart, our family’s matriarch.
Delicate notes of lychee and rose petals open the nose of this Gewurztraminer. Medium dry in style with fruit driven purity, it’s luxuriously juicy, balancing pink grapefruit with spice and honey. The floral and spice notes bring out the best in a wide range of exotic flavors. Pairs well with goat cheese and smoked Gouda alike, and try alongside spicy tomato sauce and Indian cuisine.
This wine is medium dry.

We’re big fans of the Emma Reichart Pinot Noir Rosé and Dry Riesling available at Trader Joe’s, so we were excited to check out this Gewurztraminer – a wonderful grape variety that doesn’t always get the respect it deserves. Let’s check it out.
The 2023 Emma Reichart Gewürztraminer opens with a pleasing aroma of lychee and other tropical fruit along with some sweet candy notes and honeysuckle. It’s a great start.
Taking a sip reveals the wine to be smooth, juicy and sweet (but not cloying) with good acidity. Featuring similar flavors to the nose this is very easy to drink. This variety goes great with spicy food and this is no exception.
It ends medium long on the lip-smacking finish. Refreshing, this is an easy choice at just $7.
